Do you remember this scene from the movie Austin Powers?

Cartoon character in a Superman outfit in a wheelchair girl in bed talking to him.Quartermaster Clerk: [returns Austin's personal effects after the reanimation process] One Swedish-made penis enlarger pump.
Austin: That's not mine.
Clerk: One credit card receipt for Swedish-made penis enlarger, signed by Austin Powers.
Austin: I'm telling ya baby, that's not mine!
Clerk: One warranty card for Swedish-made penis enlarger pump, filled out by Austin Powers.
Austin: I don't even know what this is! This sort of thing ain't my bag, baby!
Clerk: One book, "Swedish-Made Penis Enlarger Pumps and Me: (This Sort of Thing Is My Bag, Baby)", by Austin Powers.
Austin: Ah.
Clerk: Just sign the form.
Austin: Okay, thank you, handy man. I'll sign here, just to get things moving. [laughs] You know.

It was a very funny scene, with a grain of truth in it for men with disabilities.  We often, do not want to talk about our "little problems" or big issues.  We want to sweep them under the rug and hope that nobody ever ask.  The reality is, we don't want to talk about our penis.  Especially, if it does not work as it should, due to our disability.  It is easier, sometimes, not to think of it at all.
In short, we fear the penis.

Why?

Because everyone is obsessed with the body parts, and very few people can see the whole person.  Therefore, we do the exact opposite.  We hide.  Steal away in the night hoping no one sees us.  Hoping they don't ask the dreaded question, does that thing work?

Macho man fear the question.
Mini men fear the question.
But the question must be asked? Right?
Maybe. Maybe not.  In either case, shouldn't you have an answer ready?
Or will you take Austin Powers way out?

So, let's talk about penises.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that if you are a male for the most part you'll have a penis.  The penis , mainly used for urinating can also be used for pleasure and conception.  Penises come in all shapes and sizes and colors, some are circumcised and some are not.  There are penises that are thick and others are not.   By the way, penises are accompanied by set of of testicles (yes two), you know the place where sperm comes from.

By now, some of you are cringing.  Why all the dirty talk?  I mean, sperm, testicles, and penis!  Did you know that the same people that were responsible for Western civilization (Greeks), idolized and worshiped the penis.  To this day, statutes and even stone dildos (try not to ponder this one to long) have been found.  Their art and sculptures are replete with the male form.  Yet, civilized society today, has taught people with disabilities to hide or be ashamed of their sexuality.

A working penis is important.  Today, more than ever an individual with a disability can still get an erection (hard-on), in many cases they can ejaculate (cum).  In some cases, the disability has no bearing on whether or not the individual is fully functional.  I propose, that in all cases, one is not ruled by whether their penis works 100%.  But by, the ability to have fun in a sexual situation and just go with the moment.

If you are not "familiar" with your penis (insert name here), then you should get acquainted.  As a person, you should know how your body works.  There is nothing wrong with you if one day your hand decides to take a stroll down KY Way.    One of the best ways to please someone else is to know your own body.  Be comfortable with it.  More importantly be proud of it.

If you are wondering whether your penis can work better? Then, you should seek the answers at a urologist or specialist.  The one thing, you shouldn't do is to contemplate the existence of a hard-on for the next year.  There are many medications, prosthetics and equipment (yes even a pump) that can assist in obtaining an erection.  Of course you realize that and “erection” is merely a tool (I told myself I would not use this pun), it's like the saying goes, "it's not what you have, it's how you use it."

Good sex may have an erection built into it. Great sex requires, selflessness, inventiveness, and lots of lube. Therefore remember, if your mouth works, use it. If your fingers work, use them. But if the only thing that works if is your imagination, then fly yourself off to ancient Greece and have a blast.
